  1. I disagree on Finn being a background character in “The Comet”. That episode is all about Finn’s ultimate choice to stay with his friends in Ooo, which is the culmination of his season of soul-searching after getting his arm ripped off by his dad.
Otherwise, excellent review. I’m new to this podcast, and I really enjoyed this, so, consider me a newly-gotten fan.

      • You’re very welcome! I’m extremely passionate about animation, so stuff like this is always nice. You guys are smart, funny, and insightful. Also, unlike a certain person doing certain vlogs about certain multiple cartoons when he’s not busy making a certain comedic review-web-show focused on nostalgia whose name rhymes with “Ugg”, you seem to actually pay attention to what you’re watching, and remember it in reasonable detail so that the ensuing discussion is actually interesting (You could very well have no idea what I was talking about there, so I apologize for any accidental bewilderment).
By the way, I have a recommendation. I noticed that you’ve done a few episodes focused on showcasing lesser-known shows, so you may very well have already covered this, and I just haven’t heard it yet. But if not, and if you haven’t even seen it, then I would enthusiastically suggest watching Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated. Not many people talk about it these days, but I think it really broke a lot of ground for this whole “Golden Age of Cartoons” we’re in the midst of, especially Gravity Falls. I know yet another Scooby Doo revamp might not sound very intriguing, but if you have any tolerance for Scooby Doo at all, I think you’d really enjoy it. It’s the only thing in the entire franchise I would be comfortable describing as “Genius”. I don’t really want to say much more, because part of the fun is watching the show and thinking over and over again “Wow, did a Scooby Doo show just do THAT?” Plus, it’s finished, and it’s relatively short (52 episodes), so it doesn’t have that difficulty you mentioned in this episode of being awkward to cover because of being ongoing. All of this might be old news to you, but if it isn’t, even if you never cover it on the show, check it out. It’s pretty damn great.

        • LOL! Naw I enjoy Doug’s vlogs from time to time just to see a different perspective of someone who’s not a cartoon junkie like me. I’m glad the passion translates. I really try to stay on top of the news, creators and studio buzz for shit stuff.

Glad you’re listening to past stuff as well. I’ll be doing a Scooby Doo episode too considering he’s been on the air since the 60’s it kinda needs to happen. Mys Inc will certainly be included. If you wanna keep up-to-date on everything we talk about check out our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AnimationDestination/

And spread the word if you’d like. Always good getting more listeners since we’re a relatively new cast.
